Man opens emergency exit, walks on parked plane’s wings at Mexico airport; co-passengers say he saved our lives
Passengers support man who opened emergency exit and walked onto plane’s wing in Mexico
A man at the Mexico City International Airport recently opened an emergency exit and walked onto a parked plane’s wings, causing quite a stir. While the airport authorities have condemned the man’s actions, his fellow passengers have come out in support of him, saying that he saved their lives.
According to the Mexico airport’s statement, the man was turned over to the police after he opened the emergency exit and walked out onto the wing of the plane that was parked and waiting for takeoff. The incident occurred on January 25, 2024.
However, the passengers who were on the same flight as the man have a different story to tell. They claim that the airline made them wait for four hours without ventilation or water while the flight was delayed. According to photos of the statement posted online, fellow passengers said he acted “to protect everyone, with the support of everyone.”
The airport authorities have confirmed that the man did not affect the aircraft or anyone else, and that he turned himself over to the authorities in line with international security regulations.

At least 77 passengers aboard the AeroMexico flight to Guatemala signed a statement handwritten on notebook paper, photos of which were posted on social media, supporting the man’s actions. “The delay and lack of air created conditions that endangered the health of the passengers. He saved our lives,” according to the statement.
While the man’s actions may have been unconventional, it is clear that he had the support of his fellow passengers. The incident has once again highlighted the need for airlines to ensure that their passengers are treated with respect and dignity, especially during times of delay or inconvenience.
